Accelerated success / ease of learning 2
I cannot express how much you've helped me gain confidence. That first day when you had me fly in 20 mph winds, I would not have believed it unless I had tried it myself! Your training has helped me to be better prepared to fly successfully on my home field.
Michael Anthony. Naperville, IL
Your teaching methods and style are excellent, as proven by taking a novice, such as myself, and in one week of training, not only getting him to solo several times, but giving him the confidence that he goes off and "knows" that he can do it on his own.
Ralph Mallin. DCRC
The club examiner wanted me to do 3 take-offs and landings to receive my wings.....I did more than 20! Thanks for the great week in Wisconsin and for the skills and confidence to solo! I'm looking forward to the aerobatics class next summer!
Ron Capstack. Harrisonburg, VA Like you predicted, the first home solos after completing the course were anticlimactic! I had absolutely no apprehension at all and flew the plane like you taught me. Like you said, losing an airplane is unacceptable. The check pilot found it difficult to believe that my total experience was one week and that I soloed in three days, but he said "you don't need my help at all." Bill Voss. Grand Rapids, MI I flew all day Friday after the course and greased 9 out of 11 landings. Saturday I flew with an old friend who as amazed at my improvement and overall confidence. I showed him a few things that you taught me and he improved immediately. Jeff Wallach. Dallas, TX I often think about our sessions notwithstanding the dramatic impact on my flying. I now CONTROL what happens by not always reacting. I anticipate what is going to happen and put in the correct inputs and TRUST what will happen. I plan ahead for things that might happen and make adjustments before they occur or when they occur. I read something in your manual every night -- good stuff. I can tell you spent a lot of time writing and refining what you wrote. Jim Procrass. Beverly Hills, CA I honestly didn’t know how you were going to exceed my expectations in this class in comparison to the quantum leap in the basic class over a year ago. You did, it just isn't as immediately obvious until you put it to practice. Then it really hits home when it all works. Your business card claims World Leader in R/C Flight Training--I agree and would add Premier R/C Flight School. Jim Hahn. Bernumwood, WI I just wanted to let you know again how much I enjoyed the aerobatics class. You certainly were right in that it met or exceeded every expectation. I was amazed at how well my Ultra sport flew once I returned from the school -- somebody must have switched planes on me while I was gone. I notice steady improvements each time I fly and this is something I just wasn't experiencing prior to your courses. Thanks again Dave! Daniel Hammon. Bountiful, UT I have been flying models most of my life since the age of 11. After one afternoon with Dave my flying had progressed more than it had in years. He explained why things happen the way they do in a way I could understand. I have a lot of "friends" that are very accomplished R/C pilots. None of them have ever taken the time that Dave did to advance my flying skills to a higher level. If anyone thinks his help won’t benefit their flying, they’re wrong! Dave’s calendar always fills quickly for the upcoming year. Whether beginner or expert, get on his list and I guarantee that you WILL be rewarded with an excellent experience that will help improve your flying skills more in a week than you would in years on your own. Tim Redelman. Winnemac, IN
My flying is steadily getting better and better every day. I attribute that directly to the foundation I received from your excellent training. Ed Petterson. Export, PA I'm amazed by how quickly I’ve progressed. You have an amazing way of teaching the basics and also stressing the finer points to achieve perfection without making it a grueling task. In addition to flying, the information you provided on equipment selection, setups, and what works would take years of experimenting to achieve. You debunk the myths. Jim Hahn. Birnamwood, WI I am in total confidence that anyone that goes to your school will receive the professionalism and friendliness of the "DAS" system, helping them to achieve solo status in the shortest possible time with confidence!
William Snow. New England, CT I have a very positive impression of your school, through my experience judging some of your students in contests. Your students' performance is well above average for their experience. Much of that is the training they received from you. I've also reviewed the manuals from your school and was very pleased with the content. Ron Lockhart. AMA Aerobatics Director & Nats Champion Hard to believe how far I've come since the Course. I thought you were crazy when you said I would be doing a full Aresti with Loops, Cubans, Humpty Bumps, Hammer heads with rolls and Snap Rolls! Well, I found out you weren't. James Boyden. Northwood, IA Because of the organization of the material, tailoring the lessons to the pupils needs and your constant input, my learning curve rose steadily and left me with the confidence and complete satisfaction that I could master the aerobatics routine at my home flying field. Jim Kropelin. Lewiston, NY It was a great course. I made more progress in the 10 months after attending your sport aerobatics school than I had in the previous 5 years. Dan Hammon. Bountiful, UT Now when flyers hear that I have been to aerobatic flight school they always ask if it helped or if it was worthwhile. I cannot be more positive about my experience to other flyers. There was no other way for me to advance my skills so quickly. I am not sure any amount of time would have helped this much. I think differently about flying. As the flight school taught me, I no longer react to what the aircraft is doing. I anticipate what to do and control the plane. The smoothness of my flights is better. My flying is improving and I am having more fun flying aerobatics than ever. Ken Weddell. Fremont, MI I flew yesterday for the first time since the flight school. Everything went perfect and I felt totally relaxed. I look forward to returning to take the next aerobatics course. I'm certainly "over the hump" and I now feel comfortable flying in any attitude. Thanks for the great time. Lou Sardella. Sparks, MD What a difference a little flight instruction makes!! Even my landings were better!! It is such a pleasure to fly the various maneuvers with competence and ease. The school decals are going on my planes ASAP. Marvin Jones. Prescot, AZ I went up for the first time since taking the class. I am happy to report that I landed the Dirty Birdi for the first time, and I have been trying forever to land this thing. Yesterday, I landed it like it was nobody's business. I will get back to you about taking the advanced class. Louis Holt. St. Louis, MO My first time back at the club field a buddy commented that I was having a good day, and my regular flying buddies wanted to know what happened. I had not been capable of flying like this two weeks earlier. My last flight finished with a knife-edge pass across the field and cheers upon landing. Ken Weddell. Freemont, MI
