If you wish to retain Dave as the contract pilot for your drone needs, contact him with your request. Dave's base instruction fee is $75 per hour plus expenses. Base video capture fee is $125 plus expenses and optional video editing time.
NOTICE: Any drone aircraft operation in the national airspace system “in furtherance of a business” or “for compensation”, including flight instruction, requires that the aircraft be registered and flown by a pilot possessing a Part 107 Unmanned Aircraft Operator Certificate with a sUAS rating. A “drone” is any ground controlled Unmanned Aerial Vehicle/System (UAV/UAS).
Commercial Drone Flight Academy's pilot, Dave Scott, is a Commercially Rated pilot with all necessary sUAS ratings. In addition to flight training and/or video capture duties, clients can expect Dave to provide detailed instruction pertaining to relevant FAA compliance and operations.
Students wishing to begin drone operations for business upon completing a training course must pass the Part 107 Airman Knowledge Exam. Obtain an Unmanned Aircraft Operator Certificate with a sUAS rating. Register each aircraft with the FAA.
Businesses, etc., also have the option to hire a credentialed private contractor pilot, such as Dave Scott, with the option of Dave supplying the registered drone to be used for filming or data collection.
