"The school met or exceeded every expectation. I notice steady improvements each time I fly and this is something I just wasn't experiencing prior to your courses."
"I learned more after the first two flights at your school than I had in three years at my club."
It was a wonderful week, filled with more accomplishment than I could have imagined. I now have a repertoire to practice and master that will keep my flying days full for many years.
St. Agatha, ONT
What an awesome experience.
I can’t believe how much my flying improved in such a short amount of time.
Dave helps pilots see the forest through the trees and learn what will take years to
come by on your own. Why re-invent the wheel when you can take from his years of instruction, and
build on it from there.
High Point, NC
As a result of taking the course, I now fly with a purpose, and when I do something wrong, I now know how to fix it.
After your primary solo course my R/C club of 150+ members awarded me "Most Improved Flyer of the Year 2010".
Indian Hill, OH
My flying is getting better and better every day. I attribute that directly
to the foundation I received from your excellent training.
Dave has almost unlimited patience. His manner and calm reactions
to any flying situation is one of the keys to the success of the students.
It was well worth the investment and I would recommend it to anyone
who wants to learn to fly properly.
Your observations, consistency, patience, and abundant positive energy to instill progress are inspirational and will serve this student well for years to come.
The guys at the field really noticed a difference and made many compliments after I took your course. Thanks for all your help.
The course, the equipment and your teaching were all excellent, even better than your site promised!
The basic aerobatic course served as a great foundation for the future. It's been noticed at the club that I now fly "with purpose" and not just to burn fuel. Because of your instruction and insight, my flying this season has improved by leaps and bounds.
I don't hesitate to fly in the wind after flying in 15 and 20+ winds during the course. I learned more in one week at your school than I had in the previous 20+ years of RC!
I "tuned up" my airplanes per your instruction and they now fly much much better. Club members are not only complimenting a "good flying plane" but also a "good landing plane". My fellow pilots decided to copy my setup when they saw how little effect the wind had on my plane and they were amazed by how much easier their planes flew.
By following Dave's timeless setup principals, you can create a rock solid setup foundation for your plane, which will then allow you concentrate on learning to fly the maneuvers that you most enjoy without the plane getting in the way of your progress.
THANK YOU for your sincere and professional teaching
techniques used in your Advanced Aerobatics School. Not only do I appreciate your
dedication to making sure every point and question is covered, but your
D.A.S. system study guide is like getting a refresher course any time I desire.
After making the adjustments you suggested to my my 35cc Extra, I just couldn't get over how much smoother it was!
Thank you for a great four days of flying. Your emphasis on cementing the "basics" and building from there during the week clicked for me! I brought back an important new sense of confidence.
Last week was the best session yet for me! Your professionalism, dedication and PATIENCE is much appreciated Dave. The sign of a great teacher! Thanks for everything.
What can I say that hasn't been said a thousand times over.
You have instilled a ton of confidence in Diane and me. Words can’t express how happy I am that there will no longer be a hole in my wallet due to replacement parts!
Dan and Diane Gross.
I would highly recommend the
Flight School to anyone who wanted to learn to fly in a very short
period of time without crashing a number of planes.

Basic Aerobatic Training Evaluation
I wanted to tell you THANK YOU for what you taught me this week in the Basic Aerobatics Course. I learned more in 4 days from you than I have in 3 years at my club and you gave me some tools to not only change, but refine, practice, and perfect in my future flights and this was the easiest and most worthy money I have spent yet in this sport. new Airplane & Radio Setup
for improving their flying
|I want to tell you that I really benefited from your two books, Airplane and Radio Setup and One Week to Solo. When I started flying R/C many years ago my training reflected many of the statements that you made in your books; i.e., I had no ground school and just started flying with a club instructor without having much knowledge about how the airplane flew. Choosing the Right Airplane for You
The most frequent request that

for airplane recommendations. In
many cases, people are confused
when trying to make smart
buying decisions amidst all the “best”
claims and widespread promises that
they will soon fly like a pro if they
purchase “X” airplane.
Of course, how well an airplane flies is
subjective depending on the skill level
of the pilot and other factors. Learn more
|Crosswind Landing Techniques
Since the early days of R/C flying pilots have been giving others landing advice, particularly if there is any sort of wind involved. However, some have recently been getting it backwards when they state that during a normal landing the ailerons should be used to keep the wings level, and the rudder should be used to steer the plane as it approaches the runway. It’s always been assumed that

Chessnut Hill, MA
"I now have the confidence that I am totally in control of my plane. The DAS system just can't be that simple, and yet it is!!!"

"Thanks to your training, I'm enjoying flying instead of trying to keep up with the plane.
"Those 4 days rejuvenated my interest and desire to improve. You are an incredible teacher, who mixes the right amount of enthusiasm with an enormous knowledge of flight."
You are not only a great teacher, but a very dedicated professional

Dave is THE top expert at explaining how to fly model airplanes. David's series of books are a must-have for any serious RC pilot.
Model Airplane News.
Since the class I have more confidence in my flying abilities and I am more relaxed and enjoy the sport more than ever. My investment in Dave Scott's class was the best thing I have done to improve my flying.
I'm much more comfortable flying near the ground which was a real hurdle for me before the school. Your crawl, walk, run teaching approach coupled with your aeronautical knowledge makes the school and instruction the highest quality available.
The way you have structured
your course, from simple to complex, is educationally sound and it
works. Your teaching and coaching ability is however, the thing that
brings it all together. Your explanations before the flights and during
the flights eliminated the usual disorientation and lack of control.
Having been a full-scale instructor for over 25 years I can truthfully
say your method of RC instruction is superb and effective. I believe your
class should be mandatory for anyone wishing to excel.
I can honestly say that I
have never been more satisfied with any investment of my time,
energy and money than I am with the training provided by your
Your instruction technique is terrific. Your patience is beyond belief. I would not hesitate one moment to recommend your training course. It took me 30 years to get to your school and you had me flying solo in three days. Thank you again & again & again!!!!!!!!
Of all the education courses I have taken over my life, yours was the very best. I cannot remember having a more organized and influential instructor.
Eagle Creek, OR
I couldn't be happier with all that you taught us. I have a new found confidence and am no longer behind my plane. I now have a plan before I fly and stick to it.
I changed my plane and radio setups based on what we learned in class and now they fly like they are on rails versus bouncing all over the sky just a week prior.
I enjoyed your fresh style of instructing, with the basic building blocks to help us overcome years of bad habits. I believe your program is a great value and very useful to anyone that really wants to take it to the next level.
I cannot even begin to count how many light years ahead I am now compared to where I was before Dave's class. I wouldn't even recognize myself if I went back in time. My goal now is to compete nationally and win. I just cannot thank Dave enough for everything he instilled in me.
When I returned from your course, one person who was previously near my skill level said, "That school really made a difference." Another very good pilot said, "You did a great job putting several maneuvers together." Bubba even said, "You're flying great."
I honestly didn't know how you were going to exceed my expectations in this class in comparison to the quantum leap in the basic class, but you did. Your
business card claims World Leader in R/C Flight Training--I agree
and would add Premier R/C Flight School.
Because of 15-20 mph winds people were
amazed that I would even attempt to fly, but I just kept remembering what you taught, and finished
my flight with a pretty good landing. I couldn't be more pleased with
what I got out of the school.
What a difference knowing how to execute the maneuvers beforehand has made on my practice and understanding where I need to improve. You had given me something that I didn't expect - CONFIDENCE! Thanks for a VERY enjoyable season of flying and learning.
I get comments all the time from people that have used your techniques saying how much they’ve helped them. They say that so many things never really made sense, but after your explanations, they now make perfect sense. Keep doing what you’re doing! Truly working!
