I wish I could say I came home and began right where you left me when we finished up, but the pucker factor came back to me the first few times I flew... I was able to calm down by constantly telling myself the things I learned while I was at the school. In particular I concentrated on the, "Aileron... pull... adjust" after I found myself wanting to put in 8x more input than what it really needed. In addition I am becoming much more comfortable flying near the ground which was a real hurdle for me before the school. The guys at the field really noticed a difference and made many compliments so I must be doing something right. Although I’m sure you have many letters of thanks, I wanted to take a few minutes and commend you on being an excellent educator. Being an instructor myself for many years I have taken many classes and am very critical of the instruction received – you could say my bar of excellence is higher than most. Your crawl, walk, run teaching approach, aeronautical engineering knowledge coupled with your flying experience makes your school and instruction the highest quality available. You are quick to recognize the strengths and weaknesses of each individual and work with them on an individual basis to make them successful. In addition, I believe you have the patience of Job and the teaching wisdom of Solomon. In a nutshell, I don’t believe there is another RC instructor that could even come close to your quality of instruction. Thanks again for a great week.
