Good Instructiors are hard to find, highly educated teachers/writers/draftsmen even harder to find. David A. Scott of the 1st RC Flight School in Shawano, Wisconsin is a teacher worthy of the name. He has been instructing students for over 20 years; over 1,300 first solos taught in 4-5 days. He is that rare find, a teacher who can write and draw. He has used his talents to create the book on RC flying for all time. Every page has descriptive drawings of the very best sort. His book, "One Week for Solo" is a masterpeice of writing and drafting. It is basically a learning to fly text that even the experienced pilot (who finds his skills at the 99% level) will find the key to details of RC flight they have been looking for. There is simply no other source that I have ever seen to match it. He has 5 books on RC flight, 3 on advancing in aerobatics. one on flying park flyers but this one, "One Week to Solo" visualizes and explains details of RC skills one may have instinctively felt but never seen in print and drawings before. Thanks for writing the books Dave, they are invaluable. I will guarantee they will not disappoint. "Ben" Owen, former Executive Director, EAA Information Services. ( writer of over 100 "Craftsman's Corner" articles for SPORT AVIATION.)
