Jim Procrass. Beverly Hills, CA I honestly didn’t know how you were going to exceed my expectations in this class in comparison to the quantum leap in the basic class over a year ago, but you did. It just isn't as immediately obvious until you put it to practice. Then it really hits home when it all works. Your business card claims World Leader in R/C Flight Training--I agree and would add Premier R/C Flight School. Read Jim's Full Report Jim Hahn. Bernumwood, WI I just wanted to let you know again how much I enjoyed the aerobatics class. You certainly were right in that it met or exceeded every expectation. I was amazed at how well my Ultra sport flew once I returned from the school -- somebody must have switched planes on me while I was gone. I notice steady improvements each time I fly and this is something I just wasn't experiencing prior to your courses. Thanks again Dave! Daniel Hammon. Bountiful, UT I wanted to thank you for the aerobatic training I received this summer. I have had several great comments from club members since attending. This is probably no secret to you, but I can't think of anything that has impacted my flying in such a positive way in 22 years of flying. All I can say is, the DAS system really works! Read Ron's Full Report Ron Graham. Ashley, OH (Todd placed 1ST in his next contest with a perfect score of 4000!) You've helped impart in me goal setting and intentional pattern flying and maintaining control of the airplane at all times. I'm now thinking ahead about where I want the plane to be rather than reacting to unintentional consequences. Thanks for helping me to evolve my skills so I may enjoy a hobby that has been my life long pursuit. Read Mike's Full Report Mike Anthony. Naperville, IL I just arrived home from my most recent IMAC competition and I am proud to say that I came home with a first place finish. I am so excited and proud of my abilities sharpened and honed to perfection by the most experienced person in r/c, David Scott! Read Seth's Full Report Set Armold. New Holland, OH I just wanted to say what an awesome experience I had at the flight school. I can’t believe how much my flying improved in such a short amount of time. Dave, your intuitive perception of where I was at during each step of the training was incredible and allowed us to accelerate when possible and slow down when needed. Kevin Brice. Milwaukee, WI What another wonderful week I spent under your great teaching and direction, and I wished that I could have been there again this Monday. I know you have heard this many times, but I must repeat it again: You are not only a great teacher, but a very dedicated professional who knows how to inspire your students to "reach for the sky". Michal McClure. Lake Forest, IL My brother and I are both very pleased with our progress throughout the week long session. We have, and will continue to recommend your flight school to those looking for this type of concentrated, personal attention in sharpening their skills. Gary Smith. Springfield, IN I can not thank you enough for your ability to take what look like very difficult maneuvers and break them down and stretch them out into easy segments and then bring them back together. I no longer stand back and look in awe at well flown aerobatics but have to ability to understand how maneuvers are performed and I am transferring that knowledge to my own sticks. My life long dream is now coming together! You deserve the respect of the whole RC community. Ron Francis. Ontario, CAN Ed Smetak. Kingwood,TX My flying is getting better and better every day. I attribute that directly to the foundation I received from your excellent training. Ed Petterson. Export, PA I learned more in four days with you than I could have learned by myself in four years. Thanks again for a great experience. Bob Bortman. Greenfield, WI You have provided the basis from which I have been able to move ahead and perfect what you so skillfully and patiently taught me. Thanks to your instruction I'm able to anticipate the maneuvers and what corrections to make to do them better. I'm amazed by how quickly I’ve progressed. You have an amazing way of teaching the basics and also stressing the finer points to achieve perfection without making it a grueling task. In addition to flying, the information you provided on equipment selection, setups, and what works would take years of experimenting to achieve. You debunk the myths. Read Jim's Full Report Jim Hahn. Birnamwood, WI It was a wonderful week, filled with more accomplishment Than I could have imagined. I now have a repertoire to practice and master that will keep my flying days full for many years. I now have a solid foundation to build on step by step. I understand that more intricate maneuvers are simply an extension of good basic maneuvers strung together. The school has allowed me to become an R/C pilot that can perform a complete routine with confidence and competence. The school has been invaluable. Melvin Johnston. Manitoba, CAN With hundreds of hours of dual instruction time, I was certain I had
the skills to self-learn aerobatics. It was ugly to watch as myself as
the "club instructor" started crashing his models while attempting
what I believed were minor aerobatics. Matters became worse as my
former students wanted me to teach them aerobatics. More models
stated hitting the ground. I had just about given up when I saw your
ad and booked a session in your aerobatic school. You will be
pleased to know that back home I have put your manual and school Tony Biach. Silver Cliff, WI Bob Kohler. Cedarburg, WI Apparently you have built a business using proper flight instruction methodology-i.e.-a SYLLABUS---something unheard of a local fields. I observe the absolutely abysmal state of most flight instruction for modelers. Even contest caliber modelers can't seem to grasp the function of the rudder control in all phases of flight - including crosswind take off and landing technique. Just as in full size flying - proper instruction (making the airplane do what the PILOT wants it to do as opposed to accepting whatever the plane wants to do and sorta guiding it around) is the only way to learn consistency. Your program indicates an understanding of proper instruction - 99% of articles on flight training that I read in trade pubs is utter garbage. I find your program truly worthwhile and would recommend it to aspiring modelers. Phil Sibille. Nats, Top Gun, & Masters Champion I have a very positive impression of your school, through my experience judging some of your students in contests. Your student Todd Siegel's performance is well above average for his experience. Much of that is the training he received from you. I've also reviewed the manuals from your school and was very pleased with the content. Ron Lockhart. AMA Aerobatics Director & 2005 Advanced Nats Champion I took forth at my first IMAC contest, so you helped me tremendously! In the Freestyle I took second! Thanks so much again! Kurt Koelling took first place in the freestyle, so being behind a pro in a contest is feels pretty good! Seth Arnold. New Holland, OH Hard to believe how far I've come since the Course. I thought you were crazy when you said I would be doing a full Aresti with Loops, Cubans, Humpty Bumps, Hammer heads with rolls and Snap Rolls! Well, I found out you weren't. James Boyden. Northwood, IA My favorite part about attending 1st U.S. R/C Flight School is each time that I think you have taught me just about everything there is to learn about flying, you introduce me to exciting new levels of flying I didn't know existed. Steve Sitek. Atchison, KS 1000-hours on your H9 Super Stick, wow that is a success story. Any plane that lasts 1000 hours is a great thing, but one that is used in a training school is outstanding! That is proof alone that you are a great trainer and your students receive a great benefit from your instruction. You do an awesome job, keep up the great work. Dennis Davenport, Product Support Coordinator. Horizon Hobby I just wanted to thank you for a superb 4 days in the Precision Aerobatics class, and for once again exceeding my expectations in R/C flying. With your tenants as our basics, I was amazed at how quickly Jim and I learned to use the rudder control! It was simply a matter of 'trusting your control inputs' and not getting behind the airplane and reacting to it. Thanks again for a great, repeatable learning methodology that has taken me light years ahead of my local Club R/C colleagues! Read Jeff's Full Report Jeff Wallach. Dallas, TX Jim Kropelin. Lewiston, NY It was a great course. I made more progress in the 10 months after attending your sport aerobatics school than I had in the previous 5 years. Dan Hammon. Bountiful, UT The school was without doubt the finest training seminar or short course I've ever taken. I've reset my airplanes' throws, centers of gravity and trims, with my first real understanding of their relationships to the plane and my skill level due to your instruction. Those 4 days rejuvenated my interest and desire to improve. You are an incredible teacher, who mixes the right amount of enthusiasm with an enormous knowledge of flight. Read Herb's Full Report Herb Carpenter. Plattsburgh, NY Now when flyers hear that I have been to aerobatic flight school they always ask if it helped or if it was worthwhile. I cannot be more positive about my experience to other flyers. There was no other way for me to advance my skills so quickly. I am not sure any amount of time would have helped this much. I think differently about flying. As the flight school taught me, I no longer react to what the aircraft is doing. I anticipate what to do and control the plane. The smoothness of my flights is better. My flying is improving and I am having more fun flying aerobatics than ever. Read Ken's Full Report Ken Weddell. Fremont, MI I'm working the rudder in my maneuvers. Amazing, it works back home just like at Dave's field <grin>. Now I'll practice bringing my maneuvers closer and lower, just like you said I would. Thanks again. Mike Guncheon. Eagan, MN Dave relayed some new ideas about control, "Trust your plan and your inputs." When we started flying it worked! Times when I couldn't see the plane very well, trusted my inputs, and here she comes! Wow! By the third day I wasn't even looking at the plane, just where it was heading. I didn't need to know WHAT the plane was doing because I KNEW what I had told it to do. Flying was actually becoming FUN. Read Dave's Full Report Dave Healy. Medford, OR Each time I attend the school I'm even more impressed by how clearly
you organize the lessons and how easy you make it to learn. How the
maneuvers were flown seemed to be a closely guarded secret in the Robert Yeager. Casper, WY I flew my Cap this last Saturday at our local airport and blew their minds. I started out with my vertical lines, then 1/2 reverse cubans, and a cuban 8 at center. Then a avalanche when I returned to show center. The winds were about 15 MPH blowing in at me. I did get a round of applause from the guys who were grounded due to the wind. Well that's my flight report one week after school. James Boyden. Northwood, IA I've learned from you that it is all about set-up, set-up, set-up. Without a proper set up everything else goes bad. If you are not set up right then you are always reacting to the fact that the plane will not track right or come out of the maneuver prepared for the next one. Read Jim's Full Report Jim Procrass. Beverly Hills, CA I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed the training and how much more I got that I didn't realize until I returned to the home field. My flying is with a purpose now and since I know what I'm doing wrong, plus how to fix it. I've changed the set up on a number of my other planes that didn't seem to " fly right " and now they are more like what we trained with and are much more comfortable to control. Rick Jackson. I'm now flying in much stronger winds than before the course, in order to practice serious rudder corrections. Right now, I actually look forward to windy days more than quiet ones. As a result I went out with another electric I have in approx. 20plus knot winds. I was having so much fun I tore the servos out of the wings! Got to love this hobby. Bela Ballo. Gates Mills, OH Time and time again, both myself and my classmate Jim realized how critical parallel lines and level wings are to conducting aerobatic maneuvers, and more importantly, providing the framework for a sequence of maneuvers. Thank you again for providing the methodology and framework of basic flying techniques that continue to build my confidence and experience in flying R/C aircraft. Read Jeff's Full Report Jeff Wallach. Dallas, TX I flew yesterday for the first time since the flight school. Everything went perfect and I felt totally relaxed. I look forward to returning to take the next aerobatics course. I'm certainly "over the hump" and I now feel comfortable flying in any attitude. Thanks for the great time. Lou Sardella. Sparks, MD After another most productive week at your school, I now not only feel I have the foundation to learn any maneuver required for IMAC competition, but I'm confident I'll also place well. Eddie Petterson. Pittsburgh, PA (Eddie finished 3rd in his first IMAC competition) My son(Zach) and I attended one of your classes last summer and we had a great time. On the trip back, Zach said he liked it so much that he wanted to come back again year. Do you have any openings? Terry Olson. Darien, IL What a difference a little flight instruction makes!! Even my landings were better!! It is such a pleasure to fly the various maneuvers with competence. The school decals are going on my planes ASAP. Marvin Jones. Prescot, AZ I went up for the first time since taking the class. I am happy to report that I landed the Dirty Birdi for the first time, and I have been trying forever to land this thing. Yesterday, I landed it like it was nobody's business. I will get back to you about taking the advanced class. Louis Holt. St. Louis, MO My flying buddies joked, "Why would you pay money for a flight school when you can fly here for free?" However, my first time back at the club field a buddy commented that I was having a good day, and my regular flying buddies wanted to know what happened. I had not been capable of flying like this two weeks earlier. My last flight finished with a knife-edge pass across the field and cheers upon landing. Read Ken's Full Report Ken Weddell. Freemont, MI The day I got back from the Basic aerobatic class one of the really good Pattern guys asked me to show him what I could do in the way of a sequence. I flew three sequences as best I could in a 15 MPH crosswind. Kind of blew him away. He said....'OK Wallach, WHERE did you learn to fly like that? That is something I almost never see in this Club!'. I told him my heritage with the DAS system, and he just smiled and said......good, we have another Pattern guy in training! Jeff Wallach. Dallas, TX |
