The world's most popular Learn to Fly tape for the
past decade!

THE LEADER. David Scott, with more than 10,000 hours of professional R/C instructing experience, has developed this video and a school, both with unsurpassed success.

INNOVATION. Unique methods are integrated into a complete training program specifically designed for you to achieve Solo in the shortest amount of time.

USEFULNESS. Procedures apply to people of all ages and abilities and can be practiced at home, ensuring greater success and fun at the flying field.

CONFIDENCE. Start each flight with clear objectives while knowing that these techniques will reduce or eliminate common errors.

THE VIDEO. Professionally produced, this 2-hour video uses unique on-screen techniques to match control movements with the plane's response.

RESULTS. Nearly 100% of the pilots trained using this program achieve more than 30 solo Landings & Takeoffs in only 5 days and are prepared to fly at home with confidence.

Confidence has been described as a feeling of optimism. That is, instead of hoping for success, a plan is in place to succeed.

No longer do student pilots have to wait to get to the flying field before someone shows them what to do. And gone are the days when a pilot makes a mistake and the only explanation given is that he or she needs more practice.

One Week To Solo video takes the viewer through the entire process of learning to fly using concise language and an exclusive on-screen format that permits viewing of the airplane and the control movements at the same time.

Utilizing the DAS System, techniques designed to bypass common errors and enhance practice effectiveness focus the pilot's attention on controlling what the airplane does instead of reacting to it.

Traditionalist will say, "You learn to fly in the air, not by watching a video," but imagine how much more successful you will be when you understand (see) that:

Pushing the aileron control left or right does not turn the airplane. Ailerons only set the bank for the turn, and they have to be neutralized after a second or two or the plane will roll upside-down into a spiral dive. The elevator is the control that turns a banked airplane.

Or, the main reason why a plane gets pushed around by the wind is that the pilot is naively pointing the fuselage where he wants the plane to go. To nullify the effect of a crosswind a pilot needs to focus on where the airplane-as-a-whole is traveling, not where it's pointing.

Or, using the elevator to lower an airplane onto the ground actually increases airspeed and will cause the plane to fly or roll off the end of the runway. Throttle controls airspeed and is the primary altitude control for landing.

These are just a few of the vital lessons covered in One Week To Solo video that a pilot needs to know to train with confidence and be successful.

Note: The video contains all the same information as One Week To Solo manual. The manual is, however, 1st U.S. R/C Flight School's most recent Learning to Fly resource, and therefore reflects advances in the way the information is presented to make it easier to apply. Ideally, a student pilot would use the manual as a guide for hands-on practice, and use the video to visually reinforce the practice.
